Week 2
After all of the anticipation , Gameweek 1 is complete and it certainly delivered. We begun with Crystal Palace v Arsenal and Managers were in raptures when 6.0m asset Martinelli scored the opening goal of the premier league campaign thanks to 5.0m defensive asset Zinchenko providing the assist. The game ended 2-0 and managers with Arsenal assets began the week strong.
Saturdays fixtures got off to an exciting start with Fulham managing a well earned point against Liverpool in an unexpected 2-2 draw , Salah captainers prevailed and Mitrovic showed he’s ready to prove FPL managers wrong this season with a 13pt haul.
In some of the other fixtures we saw newly promoted Bournemouth win 2-0 against Aston Villa with a solid win , Newcastle seeing off Nottingham Forest comfortably 2-0, whilst impressive Spurs hammered Saints 4-1 with no Kane or Son goal which sent Kane owners into immediate anger .
Sundays matches saw a thriller at the King power between Leicester and Brentford a 2-2 draw, and there was misery in Manchester as Brighton won 2-1 with an unexpected 15pt haul from Pascal Gross , the Gameweek then ended with a Haaland brace as Man City saw off West Ham 2-0. This means we should Expect a high number of Haaland captainers for this weekends Home fixture against Bournemouth with Kane to Haaland being the most obvious move for managers.
It was great to see Last weeks differential Patrick Bamford return with an assist against Wolves , which brings me to this weeks differential <10% ownership who I believe will produce the goods for Gameweek 2. It’s England international Jared Bowen of West ham, the midfielder is 8.5m price point and currently owned by 6.5% of managers , although he blanked in Gameweek 1 it was against champions Manchester City and this week he plays Newly promoted Forest away from home and he will look to get his first goals/assists this season after an impressive 21-22 campaign when he hit 12 goals. He’s one to consider if you are looking for a fresh option on midfielder.
Thank you everyone for reading and Good luck for Gameweek 2.
