Mattersons role has been fairly inconsistent recently, moving between the middle and edge with the emergence of Shaun Lane and Isaiah Papali’i. Following the departure of the latter, along with role player Niukore, you would think the Eels would look to Matterson to step back into his 80 minute edge role where he succeeded in the past, but apparently Doorey is the man for the Eels on the edge.

Expect Makatoa to play this role while Matterson serves his suspension.
