BRISBANE BRONCOS

FULLBACK

REECE WALSH

WFB $529K (37 BE)

Coming across from the Warriors, Walsh finds himself in a better team no doubt, but without the goal kicking he is likely not fantasy relevant in 2023. People may be tempted to purchase with the new team, hence the trap label.

PROJECTION: 39-44 PPG

WINGER

COREY OATES

WFB $510K (35 BE)

With not a lot of changes, if any, to Oates circumstance, Oates finds himself fantasy irrelevant in 2023.

CENTRE

HERBIE FARNWORTH

CTR $570K (39 BE)

In what should be a stable Broncos backline in 2023, Farnworth likely finds himself as Fantasy irrelevant.

CENTRE

KOTONI STAGGS

CTR $529K (36 BE)

One we missed in our initial pass was Kotoni Staggs, who has thrown up elite numbers in the past in small sample sizes. Can he do it in 2023 on a larger stage after getting a full year under his belt, recovering from a torn labrum and in his second year post ACL?

PROJECTION: 41 – 46 PPG

WINGER

SELWYN COBBO

CTR/WFB $623K (43 BE)

Rounding out the quartet, Cobbo should find himself fantasy irrelevant in 2023.

FIVE-EIGHTH

EZRA MAM

HLF $502K (34 BE)

2022 breakout for Mam, but irrelevant in 2023.

HALFBACK

ADAM REYNOLDS

HLF $707K (48 BE)

Coming off a blistering start in 2022, Reynolds had his season derailed by injuries and poor Broncos performances late. 2023 looks to provide much of the same, and those looking for a discount half with gun potential could do worse. The reality is that we have seen this from Reynolds before, and he always seems to average about 50 every year.

PROJECTION: 46-51 PPG

PROP

PAYNE HAAS

MID $809K (55 BE)

No secrets here, Haas injury in round 14 and ongoing struggles to finish the year definitely impacted him. Haas in this normal 50-70 min role in 2022 was at 0.93 PPM, a down year for him as his average in 2021 was 1 PPM and 1.06 PPM in 2020. It is normal for lingering injuries to impact play, and Haas is no different. Coming in fresh in 2023, he looks a strong round 1 captaincy candidate and a strong buy.

PROJECTION: 57-62 PPG

PROP

TOM FLEGLER

MID $554K (38 BE)

We have seen this movie before. Not keen.

LOCK

PAT CARRIGAN

MID $716K (49 BE)

Carrigan had a massive season in 2022, with a huge season with the Broncos, a State of Origin berth and subsequent Man of the Match award, an Australian Jersey and a world title. All this to say Carrigan benefited in no small way from the injuries to Haas and the woes of the Broncos. Can he back it up? With the injury to Hetherington – absolutely.

PROJECTION: 51-56 PPG

EDGE

KURT CAPEWELL

EDG $517K (36 BE)

Not today satan.

EDGE

JORDAN RIKI

EDG $571K (39 BE)

Been relevant in the past, but not this time.

HOOKER

COREY PAIX

HOK/HLF $299K (21 BE)

Any time there is a starting NRL hooker at this price you need to take a look, but a lot of items in the “risk” column make Paix a scary prospect in 2023.

PROJECTION: 24-29 PPG
