Needing to field only 13 players this round really limits the potential buys this week and patience is likely key. Target a few premium options if you can.
Buys
Keaon Koloamatangi MID/EDG $678’000 Projected Average: 55 BE: 29
Koloamatangi looks a slam dunk buy following his shift to the middle and big minute role which should easily see him average in the mid 50s with upside to push into the 60s should the big minutes remain. A damaging ball runner with a valuable dual position as well as available in both round 15 and 18, I really shouldn’t have to talk you into this one.
Euan Aitken EDG $621’000 Projected Average: 52 BE: 28
Despite losing the CTR dual we’ve all enjoyed from back row Aitken in recent years, he is still in his own right a great edge option. A career average of 55 in his 70+ minute appearances makes him a cut price option for those seeking a round 15 & 18 edge. The glaring red flag here is he could be shifted to the centres at any time should injuries strike but if things break his way then there’s 100k+ to be made here
Holds
Jaxon Purdue CTR $555’000 Projected Average: 46 BE: 39
It got off to a rough start in a game the Cowboys didn’t fire against Manly but the fact remains the shift into the halves comes a new potential ceiling for Purdue in a team that hasn’t been afraid of scoring points. It’s possible it doesn’t work out but the ceiling is Fletcher Sharpe and with no bye from until round 27, one more week to take a look could be worthwhile for a player that would be valuable bye cover.
Sells
Savelio Tamale WFB/CTR $512’000 BE: 46
Certainly not urgent but he has done his job for those holding through round 12. Likely peaked and can be upgraded to a premium option at your leisure with a bye upcoming in round 15.
Dylan Egan EDG $587’000 BE: 66
A season ending month injury has poisoned the garden of Egan. He can be used as a looper in another 13 player round but can be sold at your leisure.
Naufahu Whyte MID/EDG $593’000 BE: 51
If you’ve held through round 12 I think it’s still best to sell Whyte. He’s not a keeper and out for at least another two weeks, it’s best to upgrade him to a player like Kolo or Aitken who play the same major bye rounds but are far more likely to be in your final team.
Spicy Buys
Jahrome Hughes HLF $543’000 Projected average: 51 BE: 55
Hughes finally put up his first 50+ score of the season in round 10 and with Munster in and out for Origin as well as a week off to fully heal up, the time for a punt on Hughes could be now as they come into the Titans who have conceded the most points in the competition. One bye left in round 15 but available every other round until the end of the season, could be a good 18th man.
