Buys
Scott Drinkwater WFB $667’000 Projected average: 54 BE: 30
If you’re still looking for a WFB, potentially a Ponga replacement, then at the price Drinkwater is still our pick. A five round average of 55 is encouraging as it seems the Cowboys have figured out their attack in recent weeks. Barely leaving Queensland til the end of July, goal kicking and chipping in with a few kick metres is ideal. He’s historically been a 49-51 average fullback without goal kicking, and now with the added bump makes him a likely season long keeper.
Hugo Savala HLF $277’000 Projected Average: 37 BE: -12
A massive negative break even and still below 300k for a starting dominant kicker halfback is sight rarely seen. Pile on now because he’ll be over 400k within two to three weeks.
Lyhkan King-Togia HLF $230’000 Projected Average: 35 BE: 17
Not much to say here he’s a basement price starting half meaning the bar is very low for him to be a worthwhile purchase. Ilias is hardly a world beater and now that he’s been given the keys should at least get a few weeks. He was a low 40s average half in reserve grade but at his age there’s certainly room to grow. If you want to wait a week thats fine too.
Holds
Kitione Kautoga EDG/CTR $446’000 BE: 31
Yes he had a stinker against the Tigers but his break even is low enough and his performances prior good enough to warrant one more look. The shift to the left edge is a concern but there is hope he may shift back with Tuilagi suspended.
Reuben Garrick WFB/CTR $646’000 BE: 55
Why he’s on the most sold list this week is beyond me. Yes he has a buy but with the state of the WFB position he’s a valuable hold. One of only four WFBs averaging over 50 so far this year.
Sells
Robert Toia CTR $442’000 BE: 40
A seemingly peaked price and and an upcoming bye for the Roosters makes Toia a marked man for a sell. It wouldn’t shock me if he eventually ends up over 500k but there’s only so many Roosters we can hold.
Lachlan Hubner MID $431’000 BE: 29
Certainly not urgent with an attainable break even but the move back to bench will limit his minute ceiling. One of the more unluckier cash cows with a total of 3 weeks missed along with his game in round 7 being cut short, he should have easily have made another 100-150k but not to be. Fine if you want to hold in the short term but if you need someone to sell to a cash out then he’s a fine option.
Cory Paix HOK/HLF $466’000 BE: 46
Lost the starting role and well and truly peaked in price, it’s time to go for Paix. He’s done well til this point nabbing some tries but no point pushing your luck, time to sell.
Spicy Buys
Erin Clark HOK/MID $639’00 Projected Average: 47 (50+ for the next two weeks) BE: 17

Jerome Luai HLF $449’000 Projected average: 43 BE: 31
Last weeks spicy buy and “double green” half Tom Dearden had the game of his life and rocketed his price back up. Luai isnt quite double green but he’s dangerously close and has yet to score a try or linebreak so far this season. The Tigers have been improved this year and it’s likely a matter of time before the attack comes for Luai.
