Buys

Scott Drinkwater WFB $630’000 Projected average: 53 BE: 38

People are looking for a Campbell replacement and at the price Drinkwater is our pick. A three round average of 55 is encouraging as it seems the Cowboys have figured out their attack in recent weeks. Fresh off the bye, the goal kicking and chipping in with a few kick metres is ideal and coming up against the Titans should allow for some point scoring.

Hugo Savala HLF $230’000 Projected Average: 37 BE: 12

The break even has finally leveled out for Savala and the price rises can begin. At basement price he looks the perfect cash out for Sandon Smith and has room to grow with a very solid base and games against the Dragons and Dolphins coming up.

Fletcher Sharpe WFB/HLF $669’000 Projected Average: 52 BE: 46

Holds

Kitione Kautoga EDG/CTR $446’000 BE: 27

Yes he had a stinker against the Tigers but his break even is low enough and his performances prior good enough to warrant one more look. The shift to the left edge is a concern but there is hope he may shift back with Tuilagi suspended.

Sells

Jayden Campbell WFB/HLF $780’000 BE: 45/Reece Walsh WFB $466’000 BE: 39/Harry Grant HOK $644’000 BE: 50

4+ week injuries and origin concerns for some means it’s time to move on. Thankfully for Walsh owners the pain is over and for Campbell it’s unfortunate but at his price it’s too detrimental to hold for that long. Grant has origin on the horizon and looks a good time to jump off.

J’maine Hopgood MID/EDG $661’000 BE: 62

Hopgood could still end up being a keeper however it’s become quite clear that he simply isn’t the minutes priority he was under Brad Arthur. Given the ease Ryles has moved him into hooker and then played around with his minutes, now with Williams back it doesn’t look likely to improve.

Spicy Buys

Tom Dearden HLF $483’000 Projected average: 45 BE: 22

He’s double green on our spreadsheet and seemly has 100k in value available. Not one we can actively recommend with Savala available but if you really want a POD coming up against the Titans is a cushy starting point.
