Buy of the week- Brendan Piakura
Jordan riki’s long term injury opens the door for a late season cashout/cow in the form of Brendan Piakura, priced at 280k with a reserve grade average of mid to high 30s when playing 80mins on the edge he firms as a solid 19/20th man for the run home.
Sell of the Week – Reece Walsh
After enlisting the help from his QLD representative teammates Walsh was unable to downgrade or escape suspension for his outburst on the field last week and finds himself slapped with a 3 week suspension. Brisbane still have one bye left in rd 25 after the next major bye round in rd 19 which means walsh will miss 4/10 of the remaining rounds of football left for the year, would be a good excuse to jump ship to Reuben Garrick.
Cheapie of the Week – Jake Simpkin
Even with rumblings that korosaiu has returned to training in a non-contact bib this week the worst case scenario would be that simpkin only gets 3 weeks in the starting hooker role but even then 3 scores of 40 would still net a 167k profit.
POD captain of the week – Isaah Yeo
Up against the storm after a week of rest, Yeo will need to work twice as hard to regain the missed lifeforce from not playing 80mins last week in what should shape to be a tight game against two quality teams and a good score from the lock forward.
Gamble of the week – Sandon Smith
Still no sign of Sam walker in the reserves in this weeks TLT with a -10 Be at 272k Sandon is a risky cashout with high upside to keep the job and be a decent 19/20th man.
